Enda McNulty – Managing Director

Enda brings a cutting edge to the  corporate world. He brings the same competitive spirit merged with reliability and dependability that he epitomised on the sports pitch for the Armagh Gaelic Football team for fourteen seasons. This team went from being an inconsistent, unprofessional  team to being the All Ireland Champions  and being the standard bearers in terms of professionalism  in Gaelic games. Enda's Leadership skills  and coaching skills have been forged during this time in the "bull ring" with Armagh.
 Enda was employed for four years as a coaching director at one of Irelands largest sports clubs, again enabling him to nurture his coaching skills, team building   and leadership skills.  In 2005 Enda began specialising in High  Performance coaching, in business and sport and education , inspiring and motivating many different teams, individuals and organisations.
He established  his company Motiv8 in 2005 so that he could offer a range of services that would unleash hidden potential within individuals, teams and organisations. His record of success to date has been phenomenal. He has worked with numerous  athletes from a  wide array of sports including golf, tennis, swimming, horse racing, rugby, soccer.  Enda has worked with a number of the Irish Grand Slam winning team in 2009. Five of Enda’s clients have been chosen to represent the British and Irish Lions.   Enda also consulted extensively to the Leinster Rugby team who won the Heineken Cup for the first time in May 2009. He worked with seven of the Irish players who won a grand slam in 2009. Two of Enda’s clients ( Brian O Droiscail and Jamie Heaslip) were shortlisted for rugby world player of the year in 2009.
In addition Enda and his colleagues are  currently advising corporate team such as  Ebay, Ulster Bank,  Bristoll Myers Squibb (Nordic Regions) , Snap Printing, Leo Laboratories, Deloitte,  Microsoft, Davy Stock Brokers, AIB global Corporate Banking ( Ireland, Europe and North America)  Enda is challenging  and coaching  these organisations to change the way they think and perform  in the areas of corporate wellness,  team performance , mental toughness ,  leadership and motivation. Enda was recently selected as the motivational coach on a national TV campaign which aims to impact the obesity levels of Ireland. Enda is fast becoming an International leader in the areas of Leadership development, team development and motivation.

 
Marina Meehan – Director of Performance Excellence

Marina has worked in Human Resources for a number of years and is a renowned expert in the breadth and depth of a whole range of HR issues. She has worked in both the public and private sector and has an excellent track record of achievement, working in Fortune 500 companies both in Europe, Asia Pak and the USA.
 
In recent times Marina has invested substantial time in researching and understanding the power of Human Potential, which has supplemented her occupational psychologist practioner skills. She has proved to be a diligent student to a number of the top Gurus in the business world and is able to talk with passion about the power of the brain and the limiting beliefs humans place upon themselves.

Her personal interest lies in enabling individuals, regardless of their position in life, to identify and work on their potential as either an employee  or as a member of a Team, to ensure smooth passage on their journey through life. She has had some outstanding success. Marina is driven by the need to be able to measure improvements and she is very much inspired by the Motiv8  philosophy as this provides a dynamic framework in which to talk about the need to win and succeed beyond our wildest dreams.

She is a creative, innovative and highly energetic individual who is capable of performance coaching individuals; working with none performing teams and inspiring organisations to build a fully inclusive appropriate culture with the necessary values that will guide the organisation
towards sustained success.

Marina is fully conversant with the tools, techniques and leading edge methodologies that have proven to be successful in a sporting context. Her commercial and business acumen not only adds value it also means that she can talk about how to achieve excellence in Business, through the application of fun and enjoyment strategies in the workplace.

Justin McNulty – High Performance

With an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, Justin worked as Project Manager from 2002 to 2008 before opting to join his brother Enda to coordinate, manage and deliver the growing range of services offered by MOTIV8.

Justin played for Armagh for ten years winning five Ulster Championships, a National League and played full back on the team that beat Kerry to win the All Ireland in 2002. He also captained the Queen’s University Belfast Sigerson team for three years and won a Ulster Club Championship in 1995.

Justin has managed at senior club level and steered Mullahoran to Cavan Championship success in 2006 and led St. Brigid’s to the Dublin Club Final the following year. Justin is currently manager of the Laois senior football team.

In summary, Justin is passionate about sports and thoroughly enjoys creating an environment whereby sports men and women can perform to their potential.

 


Kevin Clancy - Performance Psychologist

Kevin Clancy is a Performance Psychologist / Mental Conditioning Coach with a wide range of experience across a number of different areas. Currently offering consulting  in mental conditioning, physical training, leadership and team development in business, sport, education and life settings.

Kevin has worked with IMG, the leading sports marketing firm in the world, at one of their academies in Florida. He has consulted with some of Ireland’s top performers in sports like GAA, tennis, rugby, swimming, pole
vaulting, athletics and soccer. He is in his third season as the sport psychology consultant to the Cork Senior Football team, the current All-Ireland and National League champions, and works with both Tennis Ireland and Swim Ireland’s high performance programmes. Furthermore, Kevin has delivered numerous workshops on areas like motivation, confidence, concentration and engagement, goal setting and developing a winning mindset in education and business settings.

Kevin was previously employed by the HSE as a Residential Child Care Worker. He holds primary degrees in English and History (BA) and in Psychology from University College Cork, as well as an MSc in Performance Psychology from the University of Edinburgh. Kevin is also a member of the
British Psychological Society and is a professional member of the Irish Institute of Sport. In his personal life, Kevin is very active and, amongst other things, he completed the Cork City Marathon in 2007.

 

Barry Murray - High Performance Nutrition

Barry Murray graduated from UCD with a BSc in 1999. He then spent a number of years working as a Development Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. A very keen interest in nutrition and a passion for sport led him to a career change. He completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University after which he set up his own consultancy practice.

 
Barry works with elite athletes and all individuals looking to improve their health and performance. His science, sports and nutrition background has given him a huge insight into the world of healthy living and well being. He has found that as a result of misinformation and misdirection there is a lot of confusion concerning diet and nutrition which is having a detrimental effect on general health. Barry takes a modern approach to nutrition and steers away from the traditional advice and recommendations. Optimum nutrition is an untapped resource for most and it can make improvements to any individuals  well-being , fitness, performance and overall health.
Barry’s has worked with many elite athletes from a range of different sports from the beginner to those competing at an Olympic and International level. He has worked with professional cyclists and triathletes, world class sprint and long distance runners, and premiership footballers.  Barry designs comprehensive nutrition programmes tailored to the individual, provides continuous nutrition support to athlete and teams and presents seminars/workshops to clubs and corporate clients. 

Fionna - Yoga Teacher

Fiona completed her first yoga teacher training in the Chopra Centre, California. This training gave Fiona a strong passion for yoga and meditation. After this Fiona spent some time teaching yoga, exploring various styles of yoga, and experiencing different teachers of yoga in both Ireland and India. She then decided to do further teacher training with Godfrey Devereux in the Windfire Yoga Center. This method of Dynamic yoga has had by far the most significant impact of Fionas personal practice and teaching. It focuses on sensitivity and being present to what is actually happening. She is extremely passionate about yoga and believes that Dynamic yoga is the most authentic, safest and geniunely beneficial she has encountered to date.

Fiona has gained a wide broad range of experience teaching Yoga. Her students include young and old, corporate groups, individuals, athlethes and sports teams. The Dynamic Yoga method is suitable and available for everybody. All that is needed is an open mind and the ability to breathe.

Ciaran Fitzpatrick - Physical Therapist

Ciaran is a Physical Therapist who works with international sportsmen/women from a range of different codes & countries. He has worked as a consultant to Nike & Adidas, as a physical therapist to Athletics Ireland and has an association with Gerard Hartmann the world renowned sports therapist.

Barry Solan - Strength and Conditioning

Barry is a Strength & Conditioning Coach who has worked with Junior, College, Amateur & Professional Athletes through a wide range of sports in Ireland, England and at Athletes’ Performance, Arizona in the U.S. He holds a degree in Sport Science and is certified through the N.A.S.M as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (P.E.S.) and N.S.C.A as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S). Barry is currently pursuing a Masters in Strength & Conditioning.

Maeve Barry - Sports Psychologist

Maeve has a comprehensive and well rounded academic background in the area of sporting performance. Qualified initially with an honours degree in Human Physiology and Sports Rehabilitation she furthered her knowledge in the physical side of sports performance with a Post Graduate Diploma in Exercise Physiology from Trinity College. Through her work in the area of physical sports performance (in particular injury rehabilitation) while on internship at UMASS Amherst Athletic Department and Football team, with the Irish East-Midlands Ladies U/18 golf team and with numerous GAA teams (club and county) and AIL club rugby teams, Maeve felt the need for a more comprehensive understanding of performance excellence in sport and subsequently graduated from the Masters Degree in Sports Psychology from Waterford Institute of Technology.

Maeve is now in the unique position of having a comprehensive understanding of the role of both mental skills training and physical skills training in the pursuit of performance excellence. Maeve strives to further her knowledge in the area of injury prevention and injury rehabilitation from both mental and physical perspectives, having completed a dissertation entitled “The Psychology of Athletic Injury; Predisposing Factors”.

Maeve has a deep rooted love for sport and is committed to the quest of the pursuit of success in all individuals in all areas of their lives.  Maeve brings that quest and knowledge for success not only to the sporting world but also to the classroom where she tutors in Anatomy&Physiology and Sports Injuries.
